Tuesday Tease brings burlesque back to its golden age roots by putting showgirls onstage with a live band. Our cast of dancers work together with some of Seattle’s best local musicians to create a dynamic show experience that puts a modern take on burlesque history. From jazz and blues standards to modern rock and pop tunes, Tuesday Tease infuses burlesque with the energy of live music, providing a unique experience for audiences and dancers alike!

After working with local musicians to strip to live music during Simon Astor’s Cocktails at the Center of the Earth, Sailor St. Claire wanted to find a way to allow other burlesque performers to share in the joy of working with a live band. She culled together a cast of local musicians and dancers to launch Tuesday Tease at LUCID Lounge in April 2012, where it quickly grew from a bi-monthly show to a monthly endeavor on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Now in its second year, the show has expanded to a second venue on the 4th Tuesday of the month: The Can Can in historic Pike Place Market.
